Horton Financial Planning LLC 

Horton Financial Planning LLC (HFP) is a fee-only firm located in southeast Michigan that offers clients an independent, objective alternative to commission-compensated brokers and product salespersons. HFP offers financial planning services and investment advice to people from all walks of life. We work only for our clients - not for a brokerage firm or insurance company.

We believe in a holistic approach to financial planning.  We also believe that high quality, objective advice should be available to everyone and not just the wealthy. 

Thomas Horton, Principal Advisor at HFP, is a member of The Garrett Planning Network, Inc, an international affiliation of professional, fee-only financial advisors who share the common mission of "Making competent, objective financial advice accessible".

How We Work

There are no income or net worth minimum requirements in order to become a client, nor are any long-term contracts required. HFP's revenue is derived solely from the fees paid by our clients. This allows us to be completely objective in our client evaluations and recommendations.

Some clients are comfortable managing their financial affairs and hire HFP to "look over their shoulder" or offer advice on specific issues.

Other clients seek advice on a full range of financial topics as well as implementation of their plan.
